Please be informed that Mr. Michael Patrick "Mike" Abundo has reactivated the Filcosplay.com account of his and is directly linked to his own cosplay forum which is not Filcosplay related in any way. This is an attempt by him to once again fool potential members into believing that Filcosplay is an affiliate of his forums.

Just visited the Ateneo Art Gallery :D

The main reason i went there was to look at Wawi Navarroza's work.

Unfortunately, they are only displaying 4 out of 13 photos from her "Polysaccharide: The dollhouse drama" photo set.

the photos displayed are: 0 - Straitjacket Dreamer, 1 - The Coercive Silver Spoon, 3 - Discourse in the Attic, and 12 - Glass World

I did shoot some photos, but the gallery attendant said that the gallery curator disallows the photographing of the exhibit. I deleted all of the photos i shot on my camera after he told me. Must respect the works of the artists :D

Looking at the photos up close was intresting. I could see that the photos were processed differently to produce the surreal effect (these photos were shot using a film camera).

I can see other images inside some of the photos (Straitjacket Dreamer, Glass World), and one of the photos (Discourse in the Attic) has a ghostly effect, as if the girl was talking to a ghost.

This makes me want to try to learn on how to use a film camera, as well as using a darkroom for processing the photos myself.

Wawi Navarroza's photos will be there until September 21.

havent been that active the past week, since i was hit with some sort of depression.

Well, here is the list of things i should be doing:

1. process the CK picnic-moa videos (yeah, it's waaaaay over due already)
2. go to school later to adjust my schedule, enroll, and check the orientation dates for the OJT and thesis.
3. Visit the Ateneo Art Gallery sometime this week.
4. look for more "The Late Isabel" stuff.\
5. learn CSS
6. Re-practice my photo skills
7. attend the Laru con (this saturday)
8. adjust my sleeping schedule

Nothing much to write today, cant organize my thoughts.

creating hard disk space is taking some time (since i need to decide which files i'll move).
currently at 30% of the file space goal (3gig/10gig). Also testing other ways of encoding the files (tested divx, slow, and i think i need to close all programs). looks like i need a whole day to process them.

Losing weight (and sleep)...Saturday and The Late Isabel gig

Losing weight..............

well the past week, i've been playing games really late night, and i usually find myself falling asleep at around 5am. even one occasion, i fell asleep at 7am. my body weight has fallen to around 235 pounds (which used to be around 240). Maybe if i keep this up, i can reach my 200 LB goal XD (although it's unhealthy).

Last saturday..............

I dropped by megamall to give Dennis a copy of the NCC photos, but i couldnt stay there that long due to a thesis meeting at DLSU-manila. Right after the thesis meeting (which wa about 5pm already), i went to G4 for RG's Advent's Children: english showing, and to see who was there. It was unfortunate that it was not a good time to have a film showing because the end of the term is near, and most students have to do a lot of projects or study for the exams. After meeting up with RG, we went to Noey's place at Greenhills East (she is celebrating her birthday :D ).

Had some fun shooting photos and chatting with the GC people. i would have stayed longer, but i wanted to attend the gig of The Late Isabel at QC. I left Noey's place at around 10pm, and went home to get my camcorder.

I reached the venue (purple haze bar) at around 11pm. i asked when the Late Isabel will be playing, and they said it was at around 12:30am XD. so i went to eat and listen to the other bands while waiting. The band members came at around 12mn and they started to play at around 1am. This is the first time i tried to use both the camcorder and the digicam at the same time. the results are so-so, and it's not recomended to try this out during the anime cons. you will get too many blurry photos, and your arms will cramp XD

Sleepless Day

Well, i managed to not get any sleep today. maybe because i need to go to school early tomorrow for a thesis meeting >.< (and if i try to sleep, i'll wake up at around 11:30am or 1pm).

I prepared some experimental tea concoction for later, so i wont fall asleep while driving to school. it consists of Calamansi Juice, Green Tea, Mint Tea, Honey, and more green tea XD

havent tried it out yet, but i guess it should be ok.

Need to print out some stuff, then im ready to go! :D

That's all for this moment. Need to get ready for the NCC XD

within 24 hours:

# of times i used the toilet: 13
# of times i had to sit on the toilet bowl: 12
# of times i skipped a meal: 3
# of times i woke up from bed: 5
# of rolls of toilet paper used: 1
# of glasses of water consumed: about 15

Feeling better now :D Looks like i didnt get the flu, but diarrhea instead XD (although i dont know why i had a slight fever hmmmm).

So here are the possible culprits:
1. Bag of clover chips (got sick before after eating a large bag for lunch)
2. bottled water in the car
3. the food we ate at 7-11 after the sci-fi con (must be those ham and cheese sandwiches)
4. skipping meals

1. I highly suspect the clover chips, with the track record i have with it.

It must be plotting to assasinate me XD

2. The bottled water is also a suspect, but with my history with it, havent gotten sick yet.

but leaving it all alone in the car, getting heated up and cooled down everyday must have given it a grudge against me

3. The sandwiches i ate at 7-11 must be happy to be taken away from the boring shelves, so they should be happy :D

but eating them without heating them must have angered them

4. and skipping meals, it usually dosent have an effect on me, so i should worry

the act itself is normal for me, but my stomach might resent it.

so those are the possible motives of the culprits. what do you think?

Dont know how this happened, but i got sick yesterday.

Had to go to bed earlier today, but now im back on the computer XD

Im feeling a tiny bit better, but i still have a slight fever. The air-conditioning will kill me if i keep it open XD

Well, my CD burner is broken (well not completly broken, it just cant read CDs properly, but it can still write on them :D).

In the past few days, i noticed that im starting to make a lot of spelling mistakes as I type. I suspect that sleeping late and waking up moderately early has something to do with it. Well, its easy to remedy it by sleeping on time (although when i try to go to sleep early, the TV keeps me awake XD).

I need to start updating my deviant art again, it feels like it's starting to become stale XD

Power failure today..... nothing else to report

Right after i got home today (thursday), there was a power failure that lasted for about 2 hours. in those 2 hours, i was busily lying down on my bed, thinking of what to do.

things that have been on my mind:

1. how the hell did i sprain my ankle while i was sleeping XD
2. what im going to do during the weekend
3. thesis.... research..... thesis......
4. what do people think about me
5. what time will the power come back on
6. why do i feel depressed?

with boredom happening after the power came back, i went to update my multiply journal with a storyish post. (my multiply account: http://huzafan.multiply.com/)

Oh yeah, i need to recharge my batteries now! (or else, my camera would die on me again >.<)

i'll probably upload the couple of photos i shot during the power failure on my next post XD

Today, i woke up at around 7am, when i went to sleep last night at around 4am.

I have no idea why my body keeps kicking me to wake up really early. So after waking up, i went down to the computer room and went to check out the progress of my downloads. Hard gay episodes completed, NaNa live action OST downloaded, nothing new to download.

after i finish checking it, i went to the kitchen and drank a nice glass of cold water. since i didnt sleep that much, and i had a really empty stomach, i got an acid attack when the water i drank reacted to my stomach acids. Instant heartburn.

After that little incident, i returned to my room and took a bath, since i cant sleep anymore. I watched a nice documentary about the history of soccer. as time passes by, i logged back on to my computer to see if i got any new pms. I was texting kero of cosplay.ph since he asked for a copy of some photos, and when we will meet today at megamall.

i had a nice chat with him regarding previous cosplay events, mmorpgs and why those mmorpgs are starting to die. he had to go since he has some business elsewhere.

I was just sitting around with the GC and PC people at the megamall foodcourt, waiting for RG to drop by, since we will be going together to meet Azrael (we need to give him a copy of the photos from toycon XD). I was walking around after kero left, then i bumped into Ulirat and Ligaya :D (well, those are the only people i know 100% by username and face XD). we chatted for a while, and killer_gei popped out XD we had another Haado gei worshipping session which was caught on video XD. RG then came out, and we had to go (since we were scheduled to meed Azrael at 4pm, and it was already 3:45). once we got there, RG texted Azrael. he said he was going to be late because of a flash typhoon/hurricane at Cavite, so me and RG went around theatre mall to check what stuff they have.

When we entered a shop with lots of digital cameras this really odd fellow approached RG and began to chat with him about stuff like "is PSP better than DS, is DS a gameboy" and other stuff. from the way that guy speaks, there is definately something wrong with him.

After a while with RG replying to that guy, he almost tried to hit RG because RG is asking him why he is asking so many questions. i went to standby mode as RG begins to question the guy, asking "how old are you? (he replied 18)" "where are your parents?(he replied not here) "are you alone?(he replied yes)"Why are you questioning me (umm not sure if thats 100% accurate now XD)". RG then tells the guy to leave the store. The guy is reluctant until RG reached into his bag. The guy saw that and he ran. What RG brought out was his Camera XD

The store people later told us about that guy. They said that he always goes there and does the same thing. The store people just agree with whatever he says, since they figured out that that person has some kind of mental disabilitty (i believe he was retarded, since he looks age 25+).

After that, me and RG went around V-mall to look at the games available (RG went to look at the PSP games, i just went and looked at everything XD)

We then returned to the place where we were suppost to meet Azrael, Starbucks XD soon enough, once we approached the counter, we were ambushed by Az.

We sat at starbucks for a bit, while Az went to pasto to eat (well, we didnt really know he went there lol). after me and RG finished our drink, we went over and delivered the Cds of the photos. Henry/sephiroth/pixeldreamz popped out. we later went with Vix, Az and Cholo to their shops in shoppesville. Az was busy photographing the original filipino super hero artworks, while we loitered in the area. Me, Rg and pixeldreamz spotted something very interesting: a final fantasy potion bottle XD too bad it costs 880php.

After all business was done, we went to the *Fartmobile* (all of us -vic, cholo) and procededed to megamall. We brought down the cow and the black mokona to the food court XD

guess who was happy to see the cow.... everyone XDDD

we stayed there and ate dinner. We noticed that the JMUZIK FUZION organizers where there organizing the event. As usual, i took some photos (mainly my favorite target, h_matsumoto XD. After some sitting around and talking with the marshall team, they decided to go bowling. they invited me to play and i joined XD

after a few bowls, i found out how much i suck at it XD Noteable thing while we were playing, if someone gets a split, they shout "DASKU!" or "PERFECT DASKU" XD

after that, we went home and here i am now. :D

It's a nice song to listen to, not sure what kind of situation will make this appropriate, but i can relax while listening to this.

Just got home and i was able to organize and rotate the photos i got from the 2 days of the 5TH Toy Convention at SM Megamall - Megatrade hall 2.

Here is the verdict: 508 public photos, 114 event photos (for toycon), 12 photos not included (personal), 6 videos, and 2 blurry photos i didnt like that much (there are more blurry photos, but im too lazy to weed them out at the moment).

I was assigned as the official photographer, but i dont think i did my job well enough, there were a lot of moments where i know i could have gotten a better photo, but i wasnt able to get it.

On the 2nd day, im glad RG was able to back me up, since i wasnt available in the morning (Grand father's birthday), and was really late (arrived at around 4:45 pm). Th photos i got on the 2nd day were ok, but almost no stage photos. It was nice to see alot of familiar faces which i havent seen in a while ^^

Oh yes, i got a lot of cow fanatics again XD (see previous posts to see the cow stuffed toy). Everytime the cow disappears, i though that someone might try to steal it XD

But never fear, i have retsu here!

The cow was targeted by a bunch of people, but since so many people wanted it, it's really hard to run around without any of the cow fanatics trying to get it, so looks like it created its own defense mechanism XD

i also forgot to mention, i got 2 new stuffed toys. here is one of them:

Well, the past few days, my good ol' trusty computer was stuck downloading some anime.

My faithful comp was working all day and night, busily downloading whole series of anime.

Other than that, last night, my HS friend celebrated his birthday at Marina (Greenhills). It was surprising how many bottles of beer they consumed. I counted the bottles of beer they ordered and counted 48. From my calculations, they spent about 1.2k pesos just on beer >.<

Even worst, my friends credit card didnt seem to work, so he had to call his parents to bring money to pay for the food bill (it was a whooping 5.9k @_@).

After that, we played a 30min game of dota (we were limited to only play 30 min cuz the shop was going to close at 4am). As usual, i beated them down. I havent slept yet, and its already 6am, need to finish some CD burning, then i'll go rest.

Just came from the chiropractor an hour ago. He was able to re-adjust some sections of my back and he was able to pull back my shoulders (so that my chest wont be so compressed).

how do i know if it worked? the sound....

- attend GC pool party

Sat:
-GC meeting
- Still considering to go to orochimaru's house
- still thinking of attending "Pinoy big brother" thingy
